MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global inroads into the Latin pop mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, received the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN which was his debut long-player with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album climbed to number 8 in the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca the album that was the Top Five smash hit in 2010, also featured Noriel alongside Ozuna. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel on Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina in the following year. In 2021, he was in a duet with TINI for her viral streaming song Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo was a member of the musical home of his family. Both his older brother and mother are each musicians. According to him, musicality was an integral part of his life. He was taught how to play guitar, saxophone the ukulele and piano when he was an infant. Although his first choice of career was to become a veterinarian the brother Julian convinced him to take singing classes with an Cuban teacher and the end result personally discovering his talent as a performer changed his entire life.
